Information
This exclusive event celebrates a first in the City of Indian Wells—the nomination of the Desert Bel Air Showcase House to the National Register of Historic Places. Co-hosted by the Indian Wells Preservation Foundation and City of Indian Wells, this celebration spotlights a pinnacle of mid century desert modernism architecture designed in 1961 by renowned architect William F. Cody, FAIA.
Tour the home, discern its organic kiva fireplace, reflecting ponds, elegant minimalism, definitive indoor-outdoor living, distinct desert landscape and marvel at the breathtaking Eisenhower Mountain view bathed in golden light. Enjoy signature cocktails, savory catered light bites and curated mini-pastries.
Meet homeowner Karlyn Neel, the first Indian Wells recipient to be included on the National Register of Historic Places. Ironically, in 2017, the home went on the market as a teardown. See photos of its exquisite two year restoration curated by Jessy Moss and Paul Jocz. Join City officials and special guests in celebration. This unique event is not to be missed.
Special guests include:
