Linda Blank President
Linda Blank, Indian Wells resident since 2007, chaired (2018-2022) the former IWHPF Advisory Committee. Her professional career spanned patient care, medical education, standard-setting and certification with the American Board of Internal Medicine. She has participated in multiple City committees, currently serves as City representative on the Joslyn Center Board, and since 2015 coordinates IW Modernism Week tours and events. For the Foundation, she is dedicated to advancing community awareness and education about preservation and historic landmark designation.
Kevin Mead Vice President
Kevin Mead has a broad background in healthcare and actively served on various boards. He participated in Preservation Mirage, an organization that celebrates the architectural history of Rancho Mirage by promoting its protection and appreciation, and is a current member of the Palm Desert Historical Society. In addition, he served on the former IWHPF Advisory Committee, where he implemented PayPal and QR code systems for membership facilitation. Passionate about modernist architecture, his focus within the Foundation is expanding all levels of membership and attracting community sponsorships.
Ginny Whitman Secretary
Ginny Whitman joined the Board in April 2024. Following a successful career in private litigation practice in Cincinnati, Ohio, she moved to Indian Wells in 2015. She has been an advocate for the Ophelia Project serving as Mentor, Team Lead/Co-Lead, and now developing the Postgraduate Mentoring Program for Ophelia seniors. She served on the City’s Grants-in-Aid Committee and former IWHPF Advisory Committee. In 2023 she received the distinguished Indian Wells Senior Inspiration Award. Her Foundation focus is promulgating community engagement for preservation and managing records’ oversight and maintenance.
Kim Wilson Treasurer
Kim Wilson has been an Indian Wells resident since 2021. She studied Fashion design in the late 1970s and being a seamstress she made many of her designs, including period costumes and gowns. Her career in accounting started in manufacturing, accounting firms and the automotive industry. She is entering her 21st year as financial controller for a commercial/industrial contractor in Los Angeles County, which serves several western states. As a native Southern Californian, she spent a great deal of time in the deserts of California and Arizona hiking and climbing. She and her husband Jerry feel extremely blessed to be able to call beautiful Indian Wells home. Her focus is budgeting, operational oversight, fiscal responsibility and management planning.
Katherine Mead Creative Director
Katherine Mead is a mixed media artist and interior and graphic artist who joined the former Advisory Committee in 2020. She has worked as an interior architectural, graphic, and lighting designer in three major West Coast cities as well as served on the Board for the Arts Council of Lake Oswego and as a volunteer for the Art Literacy Program for Oregon’s Lake Oswego School District. She has exhibited in numerous shows and galleries in Oregon, California, Wisconsin and North Carolina. Her focus within the Foundation is readily apparent, to expand and implement a unique comprehensive branding strategy.
Dan Hamilton Digital Strategy Director
Dan Hamilton, one of the Coachella Valley's top selling Realtors®, joined the former Advisory Committee in 2019 and in his initial IWPF role as Secretary was instrumental in creating the Foundation's website, communication and technology infrastructure. In April 2024, he transitioned from Secretary to Digital Strategy Director building further on his previous experience having led a global information technology organization. His focus within the Foundation is to expand communications outreach including digital footprint, website, social media presence, and e-communications, and to measure organizational impact.
Donna Griffith Director at Large
Donna Griffith, a former Mayor for the City of Indian Wells and a Coachella Valley native having lived in the valley for over 58 years has been giving back to her community by serving on many and varied committees and foundations. Some of Donna’s notable accomplishments while Mayor: spearheaded the successful opening of Indian Wells only grocery store, Sprouts; completed her goal of having the first park installed in Indian Wells and executed initiatives to provide legacy finance policies for the City to ensure ongoing fiscal stability for years to come.
